As part of our commitment to effective learning we have teamed up with the Commonwealth Business School and Institute of Leadership and Management to offer a 12 month, part-time, work-based, action learning programme that enables participants to achieve the I.L.M. / C.B.S Diploma.

The programme is designed for individuals who are responsible for designing and / or implementing PPP / PFI based projects to meet the needs of organisations in the public and private sectors.

Learning at Work

The programme ensures that the learning takes place both away from the workplace and also in the workplace. The course benefits are reinforced as the candidates (from a range of PPP / PFI backgrounds) are encouraged to exchange ideas and experience, whilst back in the workplace they have to be cognisant of their learning plans and areas of change to fulfil the leadership and management responsibilities.

Outline of the Diploma Programme

• Individual and Group Projects; These are designed to improve how each participant delivers their part of a PPP / PFI project and understands the issues and dynamics of team working – and their personal influence upon the outcomes.
• Personal Development Plans; Technical and managerial competencies are audited and matched to an agreed model of competencies to develop a working personal development plan for the individual over the course of the programme.
• Workshops; Five three-day workshops which cover best practice in the areas of leadership and management of PPP / PFI.

Recognised Qualifications

The Diploma is a recognised mark of excellence, and equivalent to an I.L.M. level 7 qualification. It can also be accepted as contributory to the first part of a Masters Degree. Candidates will be able to use post-nominal letters such as MInstLM.
